About our foodbank

Here is an introduction to our project.

Our foodbank is a registered charity founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. Our helpers are volunteers, and food has been donated by the local town people.  This means that we are able to keep our running costs to a minimum.

We are fortunate enough to be able to open 4 days a week in our centre at 76, Church Street, Tewkesbury. This has only been achieved with the support and generosity of the people of the town, especially Freeman Technology who have been our major sponsor. Anyone in the Tewkesbury area may use our Foodbank.  You will need to get a voucher from one of our Partners to do so, but no one will be turned away hungry.  We also have trained volunteers who can signpost you to other services available in the town or help with financial advice.

You can find us right opposite the Crescent gateway into Tewkesbury Abbey and the No 41 bus route to Cheltenham stops right outside our door.  We are easy to find and you are most welcome to visit us to find out more information about how we operate.
